The PIRANHA® III masters all disciplines of laser processing. With its slim footprint, it requires very little space. This makes it extremely versatile and flexible in use. PIRANHA® II µ cut
With its axis accuracy of ±10 µm, the PIRANHA® µ-Cut achieves extreme contour accuracy. This is also ensured by the low-vibration, temperature-stable, and wear-free machine construction made of solid black granite. Optimal vibration damping ensures a perfect combination of maximum precision and maximum efficiency in laser flame cutting and high-pressure melt cutting. The laser cutting system is equipped with an air-cooled 150W fiber laser as standard.
Laser flame-cutting
Laser flame cutting uses oxygen as the cutting gas, which oxidizes the material in the kerf and generates additional heat. This accelerates the process. Ideal for components that will later undergo surface finishing. Ideal for efficient manufacturing.
Laser fusion-cutting
Reaction-inhibiting gases such as nitrogen or argon are used in laser melting cutting. These inert gases prevent oxidation, ensure a clean cut edge, and are blown into the kerf at a pressure of up to 20 bar. In doing so, they drive out the melt and simultaneously cool the cut edge.
The process is particularly suitable for thin sheets and workpieces with high optical requirements that are to be reused without post-processing.
